Pre-pigmentation
Pre-pigmentation
Do you all do this procedure? Let's find out what it's for.
Pre-pigmentation is a technical operation used when you want to
Darken hair that has been colour treated previously by 2 shades or more
Continue colouring badly damaged hair (bleached, permed, kinked, and highlighted hair).
Avoid distorting cold shades.
This treatment helps to restore the lost lightening background. So:
10 UHT very light yellow
9 light yellow UHT
8 UGT yellow
7 UGT yellow-orange
6 UGT orange
5 UGT red-orange
4 UGT red.
The Toner-Lux 0.33, 0.34, 0.44, 0.46 dyes are ideal for this procedure.
Toner Lux is a semi-permanent, ammonia-free, slightly alkaline dye. It is safer for porous, damaged hair.
Let's explore the different possibilities for pre-pigmentation.
Variant 1
Before dyeing. 1 part dye + 2 parts 1.5% oxidant. Apply to porous hair. Exposure time, visually, until the desired FO is achieved. This option is suitable for bleaching out of coloured hair. Rinse and dry, then proceed with the colouring process.
Variant 2
Apply in the same proportion as Variant 1, and proceed with dyeing without rinsing.
This option is suitable when dyeing bleached hair in darker shades.
And then there's option 3, post-pigmentation. A gentle colour correction option. If you've already coloured your hair and the colour has faded a little, you can apply the selected formula to areas. Visual check.
We finish the colouring procedure with the neutralizer shampoo and neutralizer balm.
